Residential & Commercial Duct Cleaning

USING

ROTOBRUSH® TECHNOLOGY

Welcome to our Duct Cleaning page. This is a new service we are providing our Residential & Commercial Customers starting February 2008. We have decided to provide this service due to many of our customer’s concerns about the air quality in their home or office over the past 3 years. My son, Christopher, and I traveled to Dallas, Texas in the beginning of February to complete an air quality course with hands on training from Rotobrush® International LLC.

Our goal for this undertaking is to provide customers with the knowledge about their home’s or office’s current air system. What can be done to make necessary changes to improve the quality of the air? This can only be accomplished by educating the customer about what causes these problems, how we can correct the problem, and finally, what needs to be done to ensure that the current conditions don’t repeat themselves.

This industry is growing rapidly especially in the residential market. We encourage all customers to access the EPA web site, www.epa.gov/iaq/pubs/airduct.html. There have been many misconceptions about duct cleaning due to companies making statements that they really can’t back up or that are untrue. The EPA web site gives the customer a check list of things to check out and what to ask before hiring a duct cleaning company.

Ok, lets talk about duct cleaning. To date there are 2 different types of duct cleaning equipment.

1- Negitive Pressure Method- This type of duct cleaning basically connects a large vacuum at a central location in you duct work. Normally near your heater or air handler. The contractor inserts rods with high-pressure air tips, whips, and other types of tools to break free dirt and debris throughout the trunk line they are working on. As the dirt/debris is loosened it travels back to the large vacuum at the end of the duct . The contractor moves around your house with these tools until he feels all the ducts are clean. This has been the standard in the industry for years and has done an adequate job for customers.

2- Rotobrush® Method-  This method uses a rotating brush mounted on the end of a vacuum hose. There are different sizes of brushes depending on the size of the ductwork being worked on. In most cases, we can use a small camera that is attached just behind the brush. With the camera we can see where we are cleaning, we can show that the ducts are clean, and can repeat the steps, if necessary.

If you believe that duct cleaning is something you are interested in having performed, whether in your home or office, please contact us. We will come out and provide you with a free consultation. We will look in several entrance and exit points throughout the system with one of our cameras while you watch and analyze the condition of the ductwork. At that point we will discuss the several options available to repair the current conditions. We will send you a written estimate in the mail for you to consider. It’s possible that your ducts really don’t need to be cleaned. Maybe considering different types of filters will deter any build up of dirt or debris in the ductwork in the future. Our only concern is helping you, if only for your peace of mind. Please contact us at any time.
